Video production

Video is the most expensive content format and the easiest one to spend money on for nothing. The difference between usable and unusable footage is not decided at the camera but a week earlier — in the brief, the script and the shot list. So that is where we start, and the shoot day is merely the consequence.

What we deliver

  • Script and shooting script including a shot list
  • Pre-production — locations, casting, schedule, permits
  • Shooting with our own equipment, lighting and sound
  • Editing, colour grading, sound post-production and subtitles
  • Delivery in formats for web, social media, television and cinema
02

The brief decides before the camera does

Before we set a shoot date we need to know where the video will run, how long anyone will watch it, and what the viewer should do next. A fifteen-second social format and a three-minute corporate film are two different crafts, even shot on the same camera.

That also determines what gets shot on the side. When we know the shoot must also yield vertical crops and stills for the website, we plan it into the schedule upfront — retrofitting it later means shooting again.

03

A shoot day is planned by the hour

The production plan states who is where and when, what gets shot in each block, and whether the move between locations fits. Without it a shoot overruns, people wait, and the last setups are rushed — and those are usually the ones the edit needs.

In operations that cannot stop for us, we shoot so the filming gets in the way as little as possible. That means a smaller crew, quieter gear and agreed windows, not a hall occupied all day.

04

We deliver formats, not one file

A single shoot normally yields the main cut, its shorter versions, vertical crops and a few short loops. All are delivered finished — subtitled, in the right aspect ratio, at a bitrate the medium can handle.

The materials stay with the client. We archive the source footage, so when an offer or a logo changes a year later, the cut can be revised without shooting again.

Frequently asked

How long until we get the video?
For a standard corporate video, expect two to three weeks from the shoot to the first cut, plus another week for feedback and finishing. Add pre-production on top, depending on complexity — a straightforward interview takes a few days to prepare, a commercial with casting and locations needs two to three weeks.
Do we need a finished script?
No. It is enough to know what the video should say and to whom. We write the script and the shooting script, and you approve them before the shoot — which is also the only point where changes cost nothing.
