Commercials
A commercial is the one format where every extra second is paid for again and again. So a thirty-second spot is not a shortened two-minute corporate video — it is built from scratch around one idea and one reason to keep watching past the third second.
What we deliver
- Creative concept and script in the durations that are actually bought
- Storyboard or animatic approved before the shoot
- Shooting including casting, locations and props
- Music, voiceover and sound mix
- 30, 20, 15 and 10-second versions plus vertical crops for online
- Delivery to broadcaster and cinema technical specifications
Duration follows the media buy, not the script
Television buying works in fixed lengths and the price rises with every second. A thirty-five-second spot is bought as a forty, so a script that will not fit thirty makes the whole campaign more expensive.
We therefore settle durations at the start, not in the edit suite. And we write the shorter versions straight away — adding them later means calling the crew back.
Technical specs are not a formality
Broadcasters have their own requirements for loudness, colour space, title-safe areas and delivery format. A spot that misses them comes back — usually in the week the campaign is due to launch.
So we deliver a variant per medium along with a technical sheet, so the media agency can verify it before airtime is booked.
Music and voice are half the spot
Licensed music always carries a defined territory and term. For a campaign meant to run again next year, buying the longer licence now is cheaper than topping it up under pressure.
The same applies to the voiceover — the contract with the voice covers a specific use. If the spot is also going to Slovakia, that is known in advance and both versions are recorded at once.
Frequently asked
- Do you also buy the airtime?
- Media buying is handled by our sister company OMNIA MEDIA, and for campaigns with a spot that usually helps — durations and delivery dates get planned together. We will of course shoot a spot for a campaign someone else is buying.
- What does a commercial cost?
- The range is wide and driven by casting, the number of locations and shoot days — not by the spot’s length. A single day in one location with a small crew is an order of magnitude away from three days with a studio, actors and props. We quote only after the script is approved, because anything earlier is guesswork.
